Valuation method and number of layers per square meter of PCB

2018-06-12     By: H.C.C.

The evaluation method of PCB is usually based on the utilization of the sheet. It is known that in the stamping production, the raw material cost of the workpiece accounts for about 60% of the manufacturing cost, so the utilization rate of the sheet can be simplified for the price per square meter of the PCB. Valuation, the following is a detailed introduction by H.C.C  Engineering Department.

H.C.C Engineering Department "based on 1 square meter plate, its size is 1020mm*1020mm

Assume that the PCB length is L and the width is H. The 1 square meter substrate can be used to produce this board.

The quantity is (1020/L+5)*(1020/H+5)=Z (that is, the number of layouts)

  Unit price =X/Z

  X is the following price:

The price per square PCB material price is as follows:

1L FR-1 price per square meter (including processing fee): 130RMB

2L FR-4 price per square meter (including processing fee): 430RMB

4L FR-4 price per square meter (including processing fee): 720RMB

6L FR-4 price per square meter (including processing fee): 1200RMB

8L FR-4 price per square meter (including processing fee): 1800RMB

10L FR-4 price per square meter (including processing fee): 3500RMB

12L FR-4 price per square meter (including processing fee): 5500RMB

The evaluation method of PCB layer number is as follows:

  The first unit price of the 2-layer board = (length * width * 0.12 * quantity + length * width * 0.12 * 4 + 80) / quantity

  The second unit price of the 2-layer board = (length * width * 0.12 * quantity + 80) / quantity

  Unit price of four-layer board = (length * width * 0.6 * quantity + length * width * 0.12 * 6 + 1500 + 300) / quantity

  Four-layer board 2 times unit price = (length * width * 0.6 * quantity + 300) / quantity

  Unit price of six-layer board = (length * width * 0.8 * quantity + length * width * 0.12 * 8 + 1800 + 300) / quantity

  Six-layer board 2 times unit price = (length * width * 0.8 * quantity + 300) / quantity

Therefore, in general, the price of PCB board is mainly related to the length and width of the board and the number of layers. If it is the final price, it is also necessary to consider the process cost.
